Crown and Bridge

A crown, also known as a cap, is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size. A crown protects and strengthens tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations.

A fixed bridge involves multiple teeth being crowned and filling in spaces where teeth are missing.

A veneer is a porcelain coverage that does not encase the entire tooth, but is bonded to the front of the tooth to achieve a more esthetic appearance.

All these procedures usually require two appointments. Your first appointment will include taking several accurate molds (or impressions) that will be used to create your custom crown. In the interim, your tooth will be fitted with a temporary crown till your next appointment where your custom restoration will be cemented.
